I was scheduled to start intravenous chemo on Thursday, ya know, to save prolong my life. But the Banco de Drogas, where all the city’s free drugs are dispensed does. not. have. the. drug. (Patients have to go to yet another location separate from the hospital where they are being treated to get the prescription filled.) And they don’t know when they will be getting it.

What is this? Walmart?

Also, I was missing some silly piece of paper that declares in various levels of redundancy that yes, I do have cancer, so yes, it’s fine to give me cancer drugs. I wonder what else this prescription would be for.

Argentine doctors? The bomb. Argentine bureaucracy? Same as everywhere. Wankers.

But maybe we can blame it all on Kristina.

Really Rick, your Argentine Dr.s sound just about like the ones here in the US. Tons of paperwork, layers of bureaucracy, waiting forever and other such endless scuffles. I go the the VA for care, which for the most part is excellent. When I was in VA hosp., for heart bypass in ’06, some goofoff took a patient’s blood sample and stuck my name-label on the tube!!! Mr. Goofoff almost got fired on the spot that day. My Dr. was furious at the mistake.
